As a church leader, I’ve seen the powerful impact of Celebrate Recovery in our congregation transforming countless lives and our church culture.
It’s all too common to feel you’re the only one who struggles. So just by running such a group, we signal loud and clear ‘you are not alone in your struggles’ and ‘help is available for you through faith in Jesus’.
Celebrate Recovery helps us all to confront struggles without fear of rejection or judgment, providing a safe space to heal and find hope through Christ’s love and grace. With a focus on biblical truths and supportive structures, we are helped to address root causes and harmful patterns, allowing God’s healing Spirit to bring health and wholeness.
Pastoral care can feel overwhelming as a church leader, with so many people grappling with issues such as addiction, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. We want to be like Jesus, who welcomed the broken and offered restoration. But how can we do that?
Celebrate Recovery provides a way to offer consistent help (week in week out), safe help (the format and structures are extremely well thought out) and Christian help (I love seeing broken and hurting people being discipled not just to bring Jesus into their own struggles but also to learn to walk, as Jesus does, alongside others in their journey of healing and wholeness).
Celebrate Recovery has helped us see God’s grace transforms lives and is shaping our church more into a beacon of hope for our community.
