The Seven Keys of Celebrate Recovery: Key 3 – Senior Pastor’s Support

by | Sep 3, 2024

The third key for growth of your Celebrate Recovery ministry is Senior Pastor support.  I can’t emphasise enough the importance of this key.  When we launched Celebrate Recovery here in Derby in 1998, our pastor was on board from the start, in fact his video is still on the front page of our website;  why don’t you take a look – all these years later it’s still relevant.

The Senior Pastor is not just a spiritual leader within the walls of a church, they also lead by example encouraging their congregation to engage in wider communities through community service projects.  Senior Pastors inspire their congregations to live out their faith beyond the confines of their church building, fostering a spirit of goodwill and solidarity within the broader community.

Celebrate Recovery can engage with the wider community in offering help to a hurting world where all who attend can find acceptance, no matter what their struggle is, or what their faith or beliefs are; Celebrate Recovery is open to everyone.  As our very first chip tells us “Welcome Home” it’s here where healing takes place, where everyone is introduced to a saviour who can transform their lives.

With Senior Pastor’s support it gives credibility to Celebrate Recovery as an important ministry of the church that can reach out to the wider community to help the hurting.  The wider links within our communities that the Senior Pastor will have are crucial for the spreading of this great ministry and ultimately the gospel

As we reflect on the profound impact of Senior Pastors in our lives and communities, let us recognize and appreciate their tireless efforts in fostering a culture of faith, compassion and belonging for all.
