Leadership stands as a cornerstone of all that we do; it is also a skill that requires continuous refinement and development, which is why leadership training is the second key of a successful Celebrate Recovery group.
Leadership training plays a pivotal role in the development and growth of Celebrate Recovery and yields numerous benefits that are not only beneficial to the recipient but also to all those who attend our Celebrate Recovery groups. Without leaders, our groups won’t grow. In Proverbs 23:12 we read “Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge”. “Once you stop learning you stop leading”.
In the early years of my involvement in Celebrate Recovery God gave me a vision of having a Celebrate Recovery group in every town, every city in our nation. I quickly realised for that to happen we will need many leaders. In 1997 Celebrate Recovery was in its infancy stage with very little material available but over the years more resources have been developed to aid us all in our desire to know more about Celebrate Recovery, and to aid our existing teams and to develop new up and coming leaders.
Over the years a Leadership training strategy has been developed by John and Cheryl Baker and the Global team in America where they have put together over 30 years of all their experiences and out of that came our Advanced Leadership Training Guide.
Leadership training helps us to develop existing and new leaders and will foster a growth mindset and emphasise the importance of perseverance. This year will be our 27th year of doing Celebrate Recovery, we could never have achieved this without investing in Leadership training.
