Hello, my name is Alison; I am a Grateful Believer in Jesus Christ; in recovery from addiction, my outlets were sugar and alcohol.
I have been on team since Celebrate Recovery started at my church in Birmingham in 2022. I took over as ministry lead in 2025. I attended the conference in Edinburgh in May 2025 and will be attending the one in Gloucester in September 2025. Here’s why would I encourage you to come to one of the conferences in Gloucester or Lancaster this autumn:
Celebrate what God is already doing through this amazing ministry and celebrate Tony and Val’s role in bringing CR to our nation 27 years ago.
Openness to what God wants to do in and through your life, by dedicated time away from the busyness of day to day life.
Next Steps: as Tony steps down as National Director and Catherine takes up this role; we will learn more about future plans.
Fellowship: meet others from different ministries and Feel part of the CR Family
Encouragement: so we do “not become weary of doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6v9
Resources: learn about what is available and consider the “7 keys to grow your ministry.”
Everyone: it is for everyone- whether you’re a leader, a participant, a church exploring CR or simply interested in learning more
New birth into a living hope (1 Peter 1 verse 3)- the CR message to a hurting and broken world.
CR Teaching will include a range of topics including “What is CR?” and “the CR Journey” with a focus on eating disorders and relationship breakdown.
Enjoyment – it is a great day out!
