The Celebrate Recovery UK Conference 2026 was our biggest and most vibrant gathering yet. Over 100 people travelled from across the UK and Ireland to Jesmond Parish Church, filling the building with hope, anticipation, and excitement for what God would do.
The team prepared the day with care and precision, making sure there was something for everyone; church leaders exploring CR, current participants continuing their recovery journey, and newcomers wanting to learn more. The workshops offered practical tools, honest conversation, and space to explore recovery topics more deeply, and there were so many to choose from. The panel brought together voices from across the CR community, sharing wisdom, experience, and encouragement.
From the very start, the Holy Spirit’s presence was undeniable. Worship was energetic, emotional, and overflowing with gratitude as people praised Jesus for the freedom and healing, they’ve found. The church was filled with voices, tears, joy, and the unmistakable sense that God was moving powerfully among His people.
Throughout the day, people shared testimonies, described as “wonderful, uplifting and grounded in truth and reality.” These accounts reminded everyone of the transforming power of Jesus and the courage it takes to walk the road of recovery.
A standout moment was the cardboard testimonies. So many people found the strength to share theirs — a deeply emotional and beautiful experience described as “a taste of heaven.”
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
This verse captured the spirit of the day perfectly, as story after story revealed the faithful, gentle, and powerful healing work of Jesus in people’s lives.
What People Said
“The CR family is growing!”
“So good to see people from all over the UK.”
“The Holy Spirit was present throughout.”
“Such good fellowship with brothers, sisters and God.”
“Thank God for His wonderful power to change lives.”
“The cardboard testimonies were very emotional. Beautiful.”
This year’s conference was a powerful reminder that Celebrate Recovery is more than a programme — it’s a family. A place where people from all backgrounds come together and find freedom in Christ. CR continues to grow across the UK, and this conference showed just how much God is doing in and through His people.
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17
As for highlights? There were too many to choose from. All I know is that I left with renewed energy for recovery, a deeper love for Jesus, and I already can’t wait for next year’s conference!
